Headteacher (Primary & Secondary)

The post of Headteacher (Primary & Secondary) is a new role and reflects the joining of the DLS Primary School and DLS Senior School into a single organisation. The current Headmaster of the Primary School, Mr Gary Coutanche, will retire from that role, and many of the functions of the Head of the Secondary School will transfer to the new combined role as he focuses on his overall responsibilities as Head of College and CEO for the DLSCT.

The DLSCR nurtures academic potential while building essential life skills within a Lasallian ethos, focused on the core belief that God endowed each of us with a unique set of gifts and talents. As a Trust, we believed in our shared Lasallian values and culture. Our founder St John Baptiste established a religious community in France in the 18th century focused on allowing children to reach the true potential that God had for them. We are part of the Lasallian worldwide community educating over one million pupils annually. We firmly reject a ‘one size fits all’ approach to education and instead work on sharing out best practice and ideas with one another.
