At De La Salle College, we value our Alumni highly. We are in regular contact with past pupils of the College- whether they be recent leavers or students from the era of Brother Edward, our first Headmaster. Our community is family orientated and, of course, we celebrate being part of the world wide De La Salle Community.
Past students and their families are always warmly welcomed to share their news and to hear and see the progress of the College since they left.
The best way to keep in contact with the College is to join the Lasallian Society, membership is entirely free and is not limited to past pupils, it includes all friends and supporters of the College.
We hope to keep our members informed of relevant College news and organise events which will involve various age groups. Following the success of the Centennial celebrations which were enjoyed by past pupils, staff and friends of ages between 18 and 95, interested Lasallians are now invited to participate in the Annual Staff versus Past Pupils football match and the Island Walk, which was established as one of our most celebrated annual charity events in 1960. As we grow in numbers we hope to invite our friends to visit the College more frequently to celebrate its development since the very humble beginnings in September 1917.
The Society was formed to seek to connect alumni of De La Salle College, along with friends and supporters of the College, both to the school and to other former pupils of the College. We know that many year groups going back decades still meet socially and are in touch via social media. We want to encourage that. Furthermore, as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the College, I know De La Salle is in great shape under the leadership of Jason Turner.
The Lasallian Society wants to share that good news with the school’s alumni, so you can be as proud of the school as we committee members are. Also we intend to share news of the wonderful achievements of many of our former students who have gone on to do great things in their jobs and in other fields. We plan to organise events to encourage participation and interaction of Lasallians, no matter their age!
We would love to stay connected to all our past students. If you would like to stay up to date with our news and events, please register at the button below.
