Welcome

Welcome

Nicholas Belcher, Headteacher Designate
Welcome to De La Salle College.

It is a privilege to serve as Headteacher of this remarkable community and to welcome both current and prospective families to our College. At De La Salle, we are committed to the whole‑child learning journey from Early Years through Year 13. We ensure every boy is known, valued, supported and challenged academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This continuous pathway allows each student to discover his strengths, build confidence, and grow into a young man of purpose and integrity.

My leadership has been shaped by working across diverse school communities around the world, each with its own culture, strengths, and aspirations. These experiences have strengthened my belief in belonging, inclusion and equity within education. Every student thrives when he feels seen, understood and supported; a principle that aligns naturally with the Lasallian tradition at the heart of our College.

While we are proudly rooted in our Catholic faith, De La Salle is a school for all families. We warmly welcome students of every faith and background who share our commitment to a values led, compassionate and high-quality education full of aspiration. Our five Lasallian values; Faith in the Presence of God, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, Respect for All Persons, Quality Education, and Inclusive Community,  speak powerfully across cultures and beliefs, offer a moral foundation that resonates universally. These values guide our boys as they navigate an increasingly complex world, helping them act with clarity, empathy and generosity of spirit.

I am continually inspired by the achievements of our students, past and present. Whether excelling academically, contributing through service, performing in the arts, representing the College in sport, or exploring the wide range of opportunities available here, our boys demonstrate curiosity, determination and character.

As part of the International De La Salle Family, our students develop a global perspective through meaningful connections with Lasallian communities worldwide. Their school journey may conclude in Year 13, but their relationship with De La Salle does not. Every boy becomes part of our thriving Alumni network, a community that spans generations and continues to inspire and support the College.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about De La Salle College. I look forward to working together as we nurture confident, compassionate and capable young men who serve not only themselves, but the wider world and the younger generations of boys which follow them.
