CONTRACT: 37 hours Term-time + 10 days to be worked in school holidays

De La Salle Primary is a thriving school within De La Salle College. We are looking for a dedicated Early Years / Key Stage 1 Assistant.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding individual with strong expertise and working knowledge of Early Years.  The successful candidate will either possess a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or be happy to work towards that qualification once employed.

The candidate should be able to contribute to planning, organising and delivering a broad and balanced child centred curriculum within the Early Years Foundation Stage using a variety of teaching methods to address the children in the class.

Principal Duties

  • To aid the day to day running in the Early Years to include the provision of a caring, safe, secure and stimulating environment.
  • To deliver a range of activities as directed by the Reception leader.
  • • To support the Reception class teacher or Pre-reception leader in planning, preparing and delivering a wide variety of exciting and engaging activities for Pre-Reception (3 and 4-year old) boys, following the Early Learning Goals / Development Matters
  • To actively participate in the ongoing assessment of children’s steps and achievements in learning.
  • To work effectively with a staff team and school leadership to ensure policies and procedures are implemented at all times
  • To help ensure that standards are met and children receive excellent quality care and education
